Passed away peacefully in the presence of family, Jean Estelle Dyer (nee Powers) (July 1, 1926 to January 31, 2020). Predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Sylvester “Sy” Dyer; parents Thomas and Susannah Powers; sister Margaret Grzelecki; brothers Raymond, Gordon, and Ronald Powers. Leaving with cherished memories, her 6 children, Denis (Shirley), Jeanette, Paul (Suzanne), Terry (May), David (Libby), and Gary (Stephanie). Also leaving 15 grandchildren, Aleisha, Shaun, and Adrian Dyer; Kristen, Danny, and Jamie (Jessica) Mercer; Paul (Megan) and Kailah Dyer (Justin Whalen); Julia (Nick Ruta), Matthew, and Laura Dyer; Holly and Christopher Dyer; and Patrick and Rebecca Dyer; and two great-grandchildren. Jean also leaves her sister-in-law, Carmel Noseworthy, and a large circle of extended family and friends. The family extends special thanks to the caring staff and special friends at North Pond Manor, especially Jean’s dear friend, Estelle Power. Jean lived life to the full while also enjoying simple pleasures. She loved the company of others. Jean’s life was lived with kindness and patience as she possessed a unique ability to touch others in a positive way with her gentle nature. Jean loved her family and shared the essence of her spirit through her interaction with the generations that followed, always teaching, always loving, always surrounding us with the comfort of her love. Jean will be resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, 84 LeMarchant Road. Visitation and funeral details to be announced. As expressions of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in Jean’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
