Rita Marie Leger
Rita M. Leger, 87, of Bathurst
and formerly of Moncton, passed away peacefully at the Chaleur
Regional Hospital on Wednesday, January 29,
2020.
Born in Tracadie, she was the
daughter of the late Henry and Helen (Faudel)
Robichaud.
Rita graduated from the
Bathurst School of Nursing and was a Registered Nurse at The Moncton
Hospital and with the VON. She was a member of St. Bernard’s
Roman Catholic Church, Moncton.
Rita will be sadly missed by
her son, Paul Leger (Bernice) of Moncton and daughter, Carole Michelle
Leger-Foreman (Larry) of Oromocto; grandchildren, Stephanie and
Nicholas Leger and Alex and Johnathan Foreman; great grandchildren,
Savannah, Khloe and Victoria; sisters, Shirley Caylor (late Peter) of
Ontario and Dorothy LeBlanc (Guy) of Bathurst; brother, Raymond
“Jack” Robichaud of Tracadie and several nieces, nephews and
extended family members.
In addition to her parents,
she was predeceased by her husband, Ulysse J. Leger (1985); infant
brother, Edward and sister, Carol Robichaud
(1963).
A Service to celebrate and
honour Rita’s life will be held from Fergusons Funeral Home
Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Monday, February 3,
2020 at 2:00 pm. A reception will follow in the Funeral Home Reception
Centre. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery in the
spring.
Donations in memory of Rita to
Fibromyalgia Research (Arthritis Society) would be appreciated. Online
