Born May 11, 1920, passed away peacefully January 27, 2020 at Erie Shores Health Care Leamington. Born in England came to Canada as a War Bride during World War II. Survived by children Jacqui Flood (Bob) Es, John Sim (Pat), Jean Banwell, Kingsville, Joy Sim-Robbins (Michael) Pain Court.
Grandchildren: Kim Fick, Kathleen Bovenkamp (Mark), Kirk Tofflemire (Christine), Ron Gillis, Andy
Coghill (Pauline), Wendy Bluhm, John Sim (Liz), Andrew Bateman (Amanda), Jessica Christian (Scott) Jared Sim (Samantha), Joel Sim and Jake Sim.
Great-Grandchildren: Karsen and Katelyn Bovenkamp, Jenna, Zack and Lucas Tofflemire, Jacob, Carissa and Grace Coghill, Kaydence, Ashton, and Aiden Sim, Jack and Jed Christian, Joshua and Cassandra Bluhm, Eric, Justin and Nicole Hunt, and Ryan Perrault.
Sister-in-law Mildred Sandstedt (Ralph) of Windsor and many nieces and nephews.
Special tea time gals Gloria Rupert, Sandy Binns, and Donna Baes.
Predeceased by husbands Albert Fountain (1943) and John Alfred Sim (2010), son Jeff Sim, daughter-in-law Victoria Sim, and granddaughter Carol Hunt.
Hilda was a veteran and the first woman President of Branch 188 Legion in Kingsville, served four 2 year terms as Deputy Zone Commander and two 2 year terms as Zone Commander.
A private family internment following cremation.
In lieu of flowers, donations to The Charlie Campbell Memorial Military Museum at the Kingsville Historical Park would be appreciated.
