Passed peacefully away on Jan 27th, 2020 at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, Margaret Agatha Murphy (nee Puddester), or for those who knew her and loved her, Agnes. Predeceased by her husband James Murphy; son Douglas Murphy; parents Hannah and William Puddester; her cousin and best friend Kay Roud; brothers: Frank, Tom, Gerald and George; and sisters: Dorthy, Lousie, and Catherine.
Left to remember and love her forever, her son Rod Murphy and his wife Cathy; grandchildren: Heidi Murphy (Bruce), Jaime Murphy, Nicole Murphy and Michael Heath; great-grandchildren Adel and Mason Dawson and their father Pat Dawson; brother Ambrose Puddester; sister-in-law Anne Puddester; special friend Shianne Heath; and a large circle of family and friends.
Born in Bay Bulls Newfoundland, Agnes was an exceptional woman who lived her life independently and in the service of others. Always involved in her community, she led a very involved and active life. Her number one priority was always her family and making sure they were looked after. She has left us with a lifetime of memories that we will cherish forever.
The family would like to thank Dr. Phair, Dr. Hollahan and team, nurses Candace and Susan, and the entire staff of 7 West St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital for the compassionate and exceptional care they provided.
Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, on Thursday, January 30th, 2020 from 2 p.m – 6 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 31st, 2020 from Caul’s Chapel at 11 a.m with inurnment to follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Kilbride.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
