1942-2020
Richard Donald Hovey, husband of Eleanor
“Peanut” Hovey, passed away unexpectedly at home on
Tuesday, December 29th, 2020.
Born in Canoose, NB, son of the late Harry and Willa (Kaine)
Hovey.
Richard is survived by his wife, Eleanor, four children:
Susan (Allan) MacDonald of St. Stephen, NB., Dale (Terry) Hovey of
Canoose, NB., Larry (Alana) Hovey of Valley Road, NB., and Dawne
(Steve) Scott of Old Ridge, NB., eight grandchildren and seven
great-grandchildren, brother, Willard Paul Hovey of St. David Ridge,
NB., sister-in-law, Carol Hovey of Moncton, NB., several nieces,
nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two
brothers: Dale Francis Hovey and Lawrence Harry Hovey.
As a life- long resident of Canoose, NB, he spent 39 years as
a school bus driver for School District 10, owned his own business and
was an avid farmer and woodsman.
There will be no visitation or funeral as per his
request.
For those who wish, donations in memory of Richard may be
made to Charlotte County Cancer Society. Condolences may be sent to
