Obituary of Dorrene Balle
(nee Dunbar)
With heavy hearts, the family announces that Dorrene left this world peacefully and with grace and dignity in the early morning hours of Tuesday, December 29, 2020; Dorrene Jean Balle (formerly McLeod) passed away at home in Arnprior with her daughter Lynn by her side. She was 89. Beloved wife of the late Henry Balle and by her former marriage of the late Robert Halliday McLeod. Much loved mother of Ken McLeod (Donna) of Toronto; Bruce McLeod (Karen) of Thorhild, Alberta and Lynn McLeod (John Pickford) of Kelowna, B.C. Cherished and proud grandmother of 7 and great-grandmother of 4. Predeceased by her parents, William James Dunbar and Jean Georgina Spence as well as her brother, Ron Dunbar. A quiet, kind and loving soul has gone to rest. The memory of Dorrene’s smile and kindred spirit will remain with those who knew her. Dorrene’s final care and arrangements have been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior. A Live Webcast Funeral Service will be held in the Pilon Family Chapel on Saturday afternoon, January 2, 2021 at 2 o’clock. Interment will take place at Sanctuary Park in Etobicoke at a later date. In memory of Dorrene, please consider a donation to the Arnprior Lionettes.
