KEN APPLEBY
Ken “Horse” Appleby, 75, of Mitchell passed away suddenly at Stratford General Hospital on Saturday, December 26, 2020.
Beloved husband of Colleen Appleby. Dear father of Bill Appleby (Julie) and Erin Appleby (A.J. Moore). Loving grandfather of Joe, Pat, Sami, Eric, Travis, Marissa and Emily. Dear brother of Al Appleby (Kaye) and Muriel Scherbarth (Walter). Dear brother-in-law of Betty Pehlke, Leona Scott, Joe Uniac (Jeanette) and Mike Uniac (Carolyn). Dear brother-in-law of Vivian Uniac. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents Roy and Helen Appleby, in-laws Gerry Uniac (Ruby), Carl Pehlke, Patrick Uniac, Bob Uniac (Irene), Wayne Scott, Dorothy Uniac and Eleanor Pehlke.
Ken owned and operated Ken Appleby Painting and Decorating for 47 years. He was an avid supporter of minor sports and junior hockey. His favourite pass times were baseball, rec hockey and in later years on the golf course with family and friends. Horse’s comments will be missed by everyone he met on the street.
