It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Dennis (Dionysios) Gouskos on December 23, 2020, at the age of 92.
Beloved husband for 59 years to Katina Voutou, cherished father of Audrey, Mary (Nick), Niki (Jimmy), devoted grandfather of Anna, Daniel, Manoli, and Dennis. He will also be deeply missed by his surviving sister, Stella, many nieces and nephews and relatives, both in Greece, Canada and the United States.
Deeply devoted to his church community and Orthodox faith, he volunteered for many years with the Greek Community in LaSalle in their many volunteer efforts, impressing upon young and old the value of volunteerism. A general contractor by training in Athens, he later owned a grocery store in Montreal and was loved by his many customers. In Greece, during WWII his family hid a Jewish family at their own peril, and this selfless act of kindness guided his actions and those of his children to this day.
Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, a private burial will take place on Tuesday, December 29.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Saint Dionysios Greek Orthodox Church in LaSalle or Giant Steps Foundation.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Dennis Dionysios Gouskos 19 février 1928
