Obituary
Our community sadly lost a pillar on December 21, 2020, when Deborah Anne Callihoo, better known as Deb passed away suddenly at the age of 64. Born June 21, 1956. Deb was survived by her son Jordyn (Chloe) and her new grand baby, Daphne Krysta-Jean, siblings: Yvonne, George Jr (Janice), Richard (Linda), Dave, Shane (Margo), Calvin (Carrie), Laura, and Donna (Glenn). Numerous nieces and nephews far too many to list. Deb was predeceased by her parents George and Marge Callihoo, brothers Randy and Trevor and brother in-law Robert Dennis Oshanyk
Deb was dedicated to her family, friends and community. Deb was always there if you needed her. She spent most of her spare time volunteering at local not-for-profits in Hinton. She had many people whom she loved and worked with during these times but no one was like “her” Jenn and Ruth. Deb was a dedicated friend to many. She definitely always made sure everyone around her was safe and taken care of. If you knew Deb, you never needed for anything. She would have given you the shoes on her feet if you needed them. Her family was the world to her. She was happiest when she was around them. She would find time for all her family no matter what and that was no easy task with her family. In recent times she bragged about becoming a Kokum. She was so happy to have this honour.
The family will be holding a small service with her siblings and they will host a celebration of life when COVID restrictions allow it. In lieu of flowers, you can make a donation to a local charity. Some of Deb’s favourites would include Share Shop, Food Bank, and Hinton Friendship Centre.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Deborah Anne Callihoo June 21 1956 December 21 2020 (age 64)..
