Born in Red Deer, Alberta, aged 97, passed away at Kingston Health Sciences Centre on Tuesday, December 22, 2020. Margaret Potter, (nee Swan) was predeceased by husband Glenn Charles Potter. Survived by sister Eileen Webster, Calgary and predeceased by siblings Mabel and William. Margaret, mainly a homemaker loved to play the organ and took great pride and interest in her family. She liked to paint in her past time until her eyes began to fail her but loved to visit with everyone and share their stories old and new. Margaret was especially proud of the practical nursing diploma she received in 1959 from a School of Nursing in Toronto. Margaret remained in her home and managed to care for herself with a special “thank you” to Stacey for her dedicated care and companionship allowing Margaret to remain in her home.
There will be no visitation, however, the immediate family will gather privately for a graveside service at Cataraqui Cemetery. The Venerable Bill Clarke will preside at the ceremony. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Salvation Army in Mrs. Potter’s memory.
