DESCHAMPS, Alfred Joseph
It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Alfred Joseph Deschamps on Sunday, December 20, 2020, at the age of 71.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy who shared life with him for 31 years! He will be missed by his son, Joey (Joanne), and his stepchildren, Mark, Melinda (Malcolm). He was a dear Grampy to: KaSandra, Ryland, Kenton, Landon, Nolan, Lachlan, and a Great Grampy to Carter, Xavier and Leo. He is survived by his brother, Len (Millie), Frank, Raymond (Joanne), Dave (Joanne), sisters Eva and Germaine. Alfred was predeceased by his siblings George, Ed, Bernie and Maria.
Alfred overcame many challenges in his life, certainly, the biggest one was the brain injury that he suffered 10 years ago. Alfred faced life with a positive attitude and his generosity was known to many people. He freely gave whatever he had to anyone who had need.
The family would like to thank the surgeons and staff of the Grand River Hospital ICU who gave him exceptional care and were extremely compassionate.
In accordance with current Covid-19 protocol, all visitors will be required to answer screening questions on arrival at the church as well as to wear a mask and observe physical distancing measures for the duration of the events.
