David G. Hatt
1941-2020
David Gladstone Hatt went home to be with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus
Christ on Monday, December 21, 2020. Born October 7, 1941 in
Cambridge-Narrows N.B., he was the son of the late Avery and Jennie
(Todd) Hatt.
David is survived by his wife of 54 years, Betty; his daughter Pamela
Burtt (Michael) of Saint John and son Andrew Hatt (Ellen) of
Woodstock, grandchildren; Levi Burtt (Julie) and Rachael Burtt of
Saint John, and brother Robert Hatt of Quispamsis and sister-in-law
Frances Hatt of Riverview, as well as several nieces and nephews and
extended family. David will be missed by all who knew him.
David was predeceased by his parents, his brothers Arthur Hatt
(Lilian) and Richard Hatt and sister Carrie Walker (Raymond) as well
as his in-laws John and Margaret Seymour.
David grew up in his beloved Cambridge-Narrows. He worked as a chef
in CN hotels across Canada before settling down to raise his family in
Bath, N.B.. He managed the dietary department at the Northern
Carleton Hospital for 32 years. He enjoyed spending time beekeeping,
gardening, visiting family and friends and travelling
David loved a good laugh and looked for ways to help those in need.
In his honour take a moment to make someone laugh and to lend a
helping hand when you see someone in need.
Visitation will be held at Bath Baptist Church Hall on Tuesday,
December 22, 2020 from 6-8 pm and Wednesday, December 23, 2020 from
9-11 am. Respecting Covid-19 regulations face masks are required. A
private family funeral service will be held at Bath Baptist Church
Hall. Rev. Toben Steeves will officiate. A committal service will be
held at a later date in the Andover Presbyterian Rural Cemetery,
Perth-Andover. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Bath Baptist
Church or the Gideons would be
