Marguerite B. Read
1923-2020
Marguerite B. Read, 97 , formerly of Hows Crescent of
Moncton, NB; passed away at The Moncton Hospital, on Friday,
December 18, 2020. Born in Amherst, NS, and was the daughter of the
late James and Anne Stuart.
Marg was active in her church, St. Phillips Anglican Church,
she was an avid Bridge Player, she enjoyed her time volunteering with
YWCA Quilt Fair, searching out antiques and being them back to their
former glory and spending time with her family and friends at the
cottage in Amherst Shore.
A loving and caring mother and friend, she will be sadly
missed by her two sons, Bill Read (Melanie) of Moncton and David Read
(Catherine) of South Portland, Maine.
She was last surviving member of her immediate
family
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband
Russell G. Read and her brother, Bus Stuart (the late
Joan)
Services celebrating Marg’s life will be held at a later
date.
Interment will be at Amherst Cemetery, Amherst
NS
Donations in Marguerite’s memory made to the Friends of the
Moncton Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by her
family.
