Obituary
It is with sadness the family of Rowena Elizabeth Smith (née Davison/Tinney) announce her passing at the Elrose Health Centre on December 13, 2019 at the age of 98 years.
Rowena was predeceased by her husband Cliff Tinney (1976), second husband Marshall Smith (2001) and daughter Donna Edwards (2011).
She is survived by son Earl Tinney (Diann Small); son-in-law Lawrence Edwards (Sandra Johnson); grandchildren Jean (Felipe) Coronel, Jack (Tanya) Tinney, Joanne (Mike) Ubell, Debbie (Roger) Brigance and Jeff (Erin) Edwards; great-grandchildren, Hanna Ubell (Ty Anderson), Austin Edwards, Zach Edwards, Matthew Snover, Paul Snover, Daniel Snover, Kate Tinney, Maeve Tinney and Anya Tinney as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her love of cooking and baking, she was an avid curler and continued to watch it faithfully when she was unable to curl any longer, if she knew it was to be on and couldn’t find it, she would call Lawrence or Joanne to figure out what channel she should be on. She loved playing Bingo and Yahtzee as well as loved her garden and indoor plants.
A graveside service to celebrate Rowena’s life will be held at a later date.
