Passed away, suddenly at her late Tillsonburg residence, on Wednesday, December 16th, 2020, Kimberly Maryanne Hooyer, at the age of 58. Kim was born in Tillsonburg, to her late father Carl Hooyer (1978) and her caring mother Georgette (Van Daele) Hooyer, of Tillsonburg. Kim will be remembered for her community-minded endeavors and as a truly good-hearted person that sought out volunteer opportunities where available. She was also a past member of the Tillsonburg Fair Board. Kim is survived by her much-loved daughter Carla Cote, of London, Ontario; by her brother Dan Hooyer, of Tillsonburg; and by her sisters Wendy Chilcott (Bob), of Corinth; Debbie Anderson (Bill Scott), of Tillsonburg; Cindy (Mark Elliott), of Tillsonburg. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Private Graveside Funeral Liturgy to Celebrate Kim’s Life is scheduled for Saturday, December 19th, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the Tillsonburg Cemetery, by Deacon Jack Grim, of St. Mary’s Church. Due to covid-19 attendance-related restrictions, this event will be by invitation only at this time. Memorial donations in Kim’s memory would be gratefully acknowledged by the Hooyer family and are payable to the “St. Mary’s Church – Building Fund,” through the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes- Burial and Cremation Services Inc., Tillsonburg (519-842-4238), entrusted with all funeral arrangements, with confidence.
