Obituary of John Snethun
John Snethun was born on the farm North of Lougheed on October 21, 1930 to Anders and Inga Snethun, the third of 5 boys and passed away December 12, 2020 in St Mary’s Hospital, Camrose, AB at the age of 90 years.
John married Lorraine Severson December 28, 1955. To this union 3 children were born, Ray (Brenda) Jim (Teresa) and Patricia (Calvin) Davidson.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Lorraine, children Ray (Brenda), Pat (Calvin) Davidson, daughter-in-law Teresa, 9 grandchildren John (Cheryl), Brent (Nicole), Scott, Jill (Andy), Cheryl (Aaron), Dana (Brandon), Alicia (Ryan), Aaron, Nina. 9 great grandchildren Avery, Joel and Bridget Snethun, Corbin and Aspen Snethun, Jack Snethun, Cael Perrot, Brinley and Austin Siminiuk. Brother Kris (Wilma), sister-in-laws Katie Snethun and Donna Snethun, sister-in-law Elsie (Borge) Olstrom, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
John was predeceased by his son Jim, nephews Tage Snethun and Erik Snethun, brothers Andy, Lars and Peter and sister-in-law Isobel Snethun.
A private funeral service will take place on Saturday December 19 at 1:00 pm at the Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Rick Laurendeau officiating. Interment will take place at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery following the service.
Memorial donations in memory of John can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
