My 19, 1947 – December 5, 2020
Ray was born in Yorkton, SK. on May 19, 1947. His family moved to Hinton in 1955, where he grew up. He married Melinda Kitaguchi in 1966. They lived briefly in Prince George for 2 years as well as Edmonton for 17 years. Together they returned to Hinton in 1989 to hunt and camp in the country that Ray loved.
Ray is survived by Linda, his wife of 54 years, his son Robert, granddaughters Emma and Amanda, mother Rose Chorniak, son-in-law Dave Francioli, grandsons Mac and Ben, nephews Nelson (Alana) LaPerle, Jay (Tina) Kitaguchi, Dalton (Tammy) Kitaguchi, as well as many cousins and good friends who considered him a unique and special individual.
Ray was predeceased by his father Paul on January 3, 2003, his daughter Lisa on March 23, 2011 and his sister Elaine on April 3, 2013.
As requested by Ray there will be no services or teas. However, Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
