It is with great sadness that the family of Arthur Keith Johnson announces his passing on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at the age of 77 years in Deerfield, NS. Arthur will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years, Beth and his children, Sharon (Eric), Angela, and Jennifer (Mark). Arthur will also be fondly remembered by his three grandchildren, Samuel, Luc, and Emeila, brother in law, Ken Dennis and his many friends.
Arthur was a hard-working man servicing his community as Past President and Life Member of the Yarmouth Kinsmen Club and business owner of Pleasant Supplies for many years.
Arthur will be forever remembered by his quick wit, passion for Boston Red Sox, love for his dog Kasey, and enjoyment of travel. Arthur spent many summers with family and friends watching his favorite baseball team in Boston and winters enjoying the sunshine in Maui. He had an appreciation for nature and loved spending time at his camp relaxing and reading.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Lisa Gillis, Robin Surette (RN), the whole Yarmouth Palliative Care Team, VON Tri-County, and Dr. Karma Murphy for their compassionate care. Sweeny’s Funeral Home will be providing arrangements and cremation and per Arthur’s request, there will be no funeral services. A celebration of life will take place at a future date. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Gilles Boudreau & Friends Cancer Help Fund.
