Linda Muliyil
January 15, 1942 – December 7, 2020
It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother, Nana and friend Linda Joan Muliyil. Mom passed peacefully December 7th 2020 in the covid 19 ward at The Grace hospital. Mom is survived by her children John, Andrew (Teresa), Shirin, Suzanne (Dave), grandchildren Julie, Christopher, Harry and Oliver, brother Jim (Jenny) sister Sandra (Kevin) along with many more relatives and friends too numerous to list.
Mom was a truly kind, generous and loving person who always thought of others first. Her greatest joy was her children and most precious grandchildren who meant the world to her. Whatever she could do to bring joy to her family and anyone she met, she would. She especially loved knitting beautiful creations for family and many charitable organizations for babies and children. Her generosity was truly inspirational and everyone received all she could give of her time and love. She was very involved in her community, volunteering wherever she could and valued her time with friends of the Eastern Star. She was a very active person who walked daily, kept herself very busy, was an incredible baker and was also an avid reader. Her upbeat and light spirit brought us all so much happiness and wonderful memories to cherish.
Mom had a strong faith and set an example of how she felt all people should live in peace and harmony without judgement. A line from St. Francis prayer best describes Mom- To be understood as to understand and to be loved as to love with all my soul.
Mom would not want anyone to grieve for her as she is now home.
Thank you to the nurses and Drs at Grace Hospital with Special thanks to Cindy W, social worker at Grace Hospital- you will always hold a special place in our hearts.
