Mom and Dad were married in Altona on October 2, 1949 and moved a year later to Winnipeg where Dad worked as a carpenter. They were avid volunteers in Gospel Mennonite Church and Dad also helped at Union Gospel Mission. In the early 1980’s, they moved to Calgary where construction work was abundant. Mom transferred to Sears as a department manager. Later on, Dad assumed a resident management position of a seniors block for their church. They loved it.
At age 70, Dad retired, and they moved back to Winnipeg. At age 88, Dad’s declining mobility forced him to move to Pembina Place Care Home. In September/2020, Mom also became a resident there due to declining health.
Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Pembina Place Care Home who went above and beyond to care for Mom and Dad.
If friends so desire, donations in Neil & Anne’s memory may be made to Union Gospel Mission or Wycliffe Bible Translators.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Anne
