We regret to announce the peaceful passing of the late Emerson Stubbert, 86, on Friday, December 4, 2020, at the Northside General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Point Aconi, on January 16, 1934, he was the son of the late Peter and Margaret (MacQueen) Stubbert.
During Emerson’s working years, he worked for Clearwater Fisheries. He was affectionately referred to as “Captain” by many, always wearing his Captain’s hat.
Emerson is the last surviving member of his immediate family. He will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he is predeceased by sisters, Alice, Julie, Ethel, Esther, Mary Margaret and Deanie and brothers, Peter Edward, Wellington, George, Lauchie, Duncan, Tom, Robert and Earl.
There will be no visitation, a graveside service will be held Friday December 11, 2020 at 11 am in Point Aconi Cemetery with Rev. Brian Barron officiating. All are welcome to attend.
