Leapha Eloise Goodman passed away in Medicine Hat on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at the age of 95 years.
As a result of the restrictions regarding Covid-19 and the government recommendations, a private funeral service will be held at Southland Funeral Chapel, Taber on Thursday, December 10, 2020. Burial to follow at the Taber Memorial Garden.
Leapha is survived by her two daughters Delores (Delbert) Pickett of Redcliff and Marlene (Roy) Wright of Vauxhall; stepsons Michael Goodman of Penticton, British Columbia and Patrick Goodman of Oshawa, Ontario; siblings Elsie Bellavance and Glen Toovey as well as fifteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Leapha was predeceased by the loves of her life, husband Frank Slater and husband Don Goodman; sons Floyd Slater and Ken Slater; grandson Mark Pickett; great grandchildren Morgan Pickett, Taylor Ward and Samantha Chebuk; parents Iral Toovey and Bessie Mitchell Toovey; siblings Bob, Alvin, Doris and Floyd have all gone on ahead of her.
Leapha was born March 27, 1925 in Kelvington, Saskatchewan. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and aunt. She will be missed by all who took the time to get to know her.
