Maurice LeBlanc
1950-2020
It is with sadness that the family of Maurice LeBlanc of
Riverview announce his passing on Friday, January 24, 2020, at The Dr.
George L. Dumont University Hospital following a long and courageous
battle with Multiple Myeloma.
Born in Minto he was the ninth child of the late Jaddus and
Bella (Pitre) LeBlanc. His family moved to Saint John, NB in 1959
where completed his schooling and embarked on a career in sales.
Following a move to Moncton he was able to use his lifelong love of
cooking to establish the Country Cookery Restaurant, first on Mountain
Road and then was moved to Riverview, where it remained with a loyal
clientele until it closed in 2014.
He will forever be in the hearts of his wife of 19 years,
Eileen (Murray) LeBlanc, daughter, Lindsay Gould (Neil), son, Brad,
sisters; Laurie Findlay and Marie Betts (Bob), brothers; Richard
(Patricia), Gerald, Eloi G. (Aurelia), Eric and Louis (Sheila), grand
children; Emma, Hannah, Sarah and Bella who were his pride and joy,
mother in law, Betty Murray, sister in law, Patsy LeBlanc,
his four legged buddies; Marley, Mork and Mindy, as well several
nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by sister,
Anna Dineen, brother, Emile and his father in law, Ray Murray.
The family would like to extend a heart felt thank you to
Marie, Bob, Louis and Sheila for going that extra mile during Maurice
illness.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at
Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd.,
Riverview on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, with parish prayers to take
place at 7:30 PM. A service celebrating his life to take place from
Cobb’s Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at 2 PM
with Father Phil Mulligan presiding. The interment will take place in
Birch Hill Cemetery at a later date. Donations to the CHDU Foundation
or the Moncton SPCA would be appreciated by the family. Online
