Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Sherry Lynn Hawkins on January 23, 2020 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born in Saint John on May 13, 1958 to Victor (Violet) Hawkins and the late Ruth Dale (Risser) Hawkins.
Sherry worked at the Irving Oil Refinery during the Frigate installation and then left the work force to raise her son, Sheldon. Sherry was a very kind and loving girl, who in her younger years enjoyed many happy memories at the camp with her family. She never asked anyone for anything and never said a bad word about anyone. She was a sweet and gentle soul who loved her family, kept to herself but still created a lot of lasting memories, and will be deeply missed.
In addition to her father, Vic, Sherry is survived by her son, Sheldon; her sister, Natasha (Tim Willard) Hawkins, along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and two nephews. Sherry was predeceased by her mother, Ruth Dale, her brother Thane Hawkins, as well as uncles, John, Arthur, David, Leonard, Albert and her aunt Betty.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). In keeping with Sherry’s wishes, no services will be held. For those who wish, memorial donations in her memory to Bobby’s Hospice, the Kidney Foundation of Canada or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by her family.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Sherry Lynn Hawkins May 13 1958 January 23 2020 (age 61)..
