Ivan John Knezovic June 29 1930 November 26 2020

Our hearts are heavy as we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather (dida), brother, and uncle, Ivan Knezovic, who passed away peacefully at the age of 90.
He was predeceased by his father Ante, mother Kata, and sisters Ruza and Anda. He is lovingly survived by his wife of 54 years, Frances; children John (Ruza), Catherine, Christina; grandchildren Stefan, Kristiana, Tiana, Sabrina, and Christopher; brother Pero, and many nieces and nephews. Ivan was born in Brocanac, Posusje in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He immigrated to Canada in 1957 where he met his “honey” Frances in 1965. They married in 1966 and raised a family together. He loved to socialize and thoroughly enjoyed having friends and family around his table for a glass of his homemade vino. He excelled in his trade as a cabinet maker for 27 years and was the foreman at his company. Ivan’s home is filled with meticulously hand-crafted furniture and woodwork which he took great pride in creating. His skilled hard-working hands are now resting peacefully.
A special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Burnaby Hospital for their loving care and support in his final days.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of BC.
Due to pandemic restrictions, the Funeral Mass will be held privately. A Live stream of the Mass is available for those that wish to join virtually on Friday, December 4, 2020, at 12:30 m www.legacystreaming.com/Kearney
