Antonio Nucera June 5 1962 November 9 2020

In memory of Antonio Nucera.
Born on 5 June 1962 in Italy, in the city of Messina, he grew up in Reggio Calabria, where he made his innumerable and greatest friendships, nurturing great affection for the many relatives between Reggio, Condofuri and Messina.
He graduated in 1995 as a Chemical Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano, later becoming a professor of chemistry, and then also of English as a Second Language.
He moved to Vancouver B.C. in 2011 to follow his father, but kept close contacts with his community in Reggio Calabria.
A cultured, sensitive and intelligent person, his greatest passion was for music, which lead him to collaborate on several occasions with various radio stations in Reggio, even from Vancouver, using the acronym “Totò MCT”.
Despite a tormented struggle of over 30 years with schizophrenia, he knew how to be the soul of any company, always having a new joke to tell with his infectious and often hilarious sense of humor.
He died suddenly, of natural causes, on November 9, 2020, at his home in Burnaby B.C..
He left an unbridgeable void to his family, all his relatives, his many friends, and all the people he had been able to touch with his humor and his good heart.
Ciao, Antonio.
Funeral: Friday 27 November 2020, 11:00 am, Saint Michael’s Parish (Burnaby).
