Obituary for Delores Isaac
Delores Patricia Isaac (nee Altiman), a Chippewa Tribe member of Walpole Island First Nation, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on November, 25, 2020 at the age of 88. Lovingly married for 70 years to Cecil Eric Isaac Sr. and dear mother of Cecil Eric Isaac Jr., Erikia White, Cedric Isaac (Sandra), Gregory ‘Bone’ Isaac, Jerome ‘Moose’ Isaac, Curtis Isaac (Vera Williams), Anthoney Isaac (Deb), Dametta Jo Isaac (Kip Johnson) and the many other traditionally adopted children. Cherished grandmother of 22, great grandmother of over 46 and great great grandmother of 3 with 1 shortly on the way. Predeceased by her parents Peter Sullivan and Jane Altiman, her brother Leon ‘Tuffy’ ‘Magoo’ Altiman and survived by her sister Aleta Kewayosh as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Delores will be remembered as a caring and giving person who always had the door open to those that needed a place to go and for her involvement with community volunteering, especially the Rez Elf Association on Walpole Island. She also worked for many years at the Sydenham District Hospital. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg on Saturday, November 28, 2020 from 10am until 5pm. A private family funeral will be held on Sunday. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, reservations are required for visitation.
