Reginald “Reg” W. Mason
1939-2020
It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing
of Reginald William Mason, age 81, of
Amherst. Reg passed away with his loving wife by his side, at the
Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on Wednesday, November 25,
2020.
Born in Halifax, NS, he was a son of the late William and
Beryl (Chapman) Mason.
Throughout the years Reg worked for Lennox Heating and Air
Conditioning, Pittsburg Glass, Purolator Courier and as a Management
Consultant for a Maytag Appliance store in Ontario, retiring to
Amherst, NS in 2004. He enjoyed hockey, bowling, fishing and playing
cards with family and friends. He was a member of the Holy Family
Church.
He will be dearly missed by his wife Leona (Richard),
Amherst; son Bill (Erin), Milton, ON, and his children Mallory and
Megan; daughter Suzanne DeBoer, Elora, ON; and her children Shayne
(Vanessa) and their daughter Rachel, Justin and Wade, as well as their
father Arnold DeBoer; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother Floyd and nephew Bev (Beverly
Ann) Mason.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones
Family Funeral Centre 70 Church St., Amherst, NS
(902-667-8777). Due to covid restrictions, a Funeral Mass from the
Holy Family Church, Amherst, in celebration of Reg’s life will be held
when his family can travel.
Those wishing to make a donation in Reg’s memory may do so to
St. Vincent De Paul, or the charity of your choice.
