Donna Mae Salmond November 8th 2020

It is with a great feeling of loss that the family of Donna Salmond announce her death on November 8, 2020. Donna was born to Robert and Marie Salmond in Bralorne, BC, in 1939, moving to New Westminster and then, in 1954, to Trail to finish High School. In 1961 Donna graduated as a Registered Nurse from the Royal Columbian Hospital, New Westminster, BC.
Donna worked as an RN in Europe and Toronto before returning to nurse in Trail. Donna loved to bake; fruit pies were a favourite. She was a skilled knitter and loved crafting between long walks with her dogs. Donna was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her sister Grace (Rino), brother-in-law Melvin, nieces Carrie, Kimberley (Chris) and Nicole; nephews Rino (Sandra), Mark (Linda) and John (Laurie). The family would like to thank the Staff and Residents of the Castleview Care Centre: you brought her back to us for a while.
As an expression of sympathy, donations can be made in Donna’s name to the Alzheimer Society of BC, 828 W. 8th Avenue, Suite 300, Vancouver, BC V5Z 1E2 or the BC SPCA, 1245 E. 7th Avenue, Vancouver, BC V5T 1R1
A family gathering will take place at a later date. Al Grywacheski of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ was entrusted with arrangements.
You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence.
