Wilfred Ambrose “Peewee” Gallant
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Peewee; beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather. Peewee, 86, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Sunday November 22 2020. He was born September 4, 1934 in North Rustico, PEI and spent most of his life in Lakeside where he raised his family. He worked on the waterfront as a freight handler and for Nova Scotia Ice Company since moving to Nova Scotia at 17. After retirement, South Mountain Park Campground became a second home to him and his wife Marie where he spent his weekends playing washer toss with his friends. Peewee was a very proud family man and loved watching his great grandsons grow.
Peewee was predeceased by his parents, Jerome and Alvina Gallant, brothers Alyre and Emery, sister Yvonne, and grandson Luke. He is survived by his wife Marie, siblings Earl, Gregory, Norman, Marie and Ruth, children Stephen, Blair (Carol), Germaine (Rene) and Timothy. He is also survived by grandchildren Natasha (Sheldon), Adina (Mark), Ryan, Lindsay, Heather, Stephen, Richard (Kira), Christopher (Ashley) and Michelle and great grandchildren Madden, Reid, Cameron, Dean, William and Oliver.
Due to COVID19 restrictions there will be no service or visitation taking place at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Online condolences, photos, stories and memories are welcome and can be made at www.rawalker.ca.
