Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Allan Dale Shulhan of Tway, SK. He peacefully passed November 9, 2020 at the Melfort Hospital surrounded by the love of his family.
He leaves to mourn his loving wife, Marion; daughter, Krystal (Brett) Spray; son, Kurtis Shulhan (Liz Sitter); six granddaughters, Amber, Hailey, and Rebecca Spray; Kylie, Nikki and Mya Shulhan; his mother, Victoria; mother-in-law, Stella Marko; brother-in-law, Mervin Marko; sisters-in-law, Roselyn Marko and Katherine Marko (Marty Csulak); numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his father, Paul; sister, Connie; brothers, Kim and Greg; father-in-law, Clifford Marko; and brothers-in-law, Steven Marko and Clayton Crowe.
Allan was born in Wakaw and grew up by Tway, farming with his family. Later, working with Nemanishen Highway Construction out of Rosthern. In 1993, he began working as a grader operator for the RM of Invergordon until he retired four years ago.
His passions included hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He loved to keep the garage toasty warm with the wood he’d cut all year and spend many hours visiting with his close friend Bob. He passed his knowledge and love for nature onto his children and grand girls which he adored. He was a very patient, simple and quiet man. His caring and giving heart spoke louder than his words.
When he retired, he found time to get back into the fields helping neighbors combining or driving grain trucks. And a little more time for hunting and fishing with family and friends.
In observance of Covid-19 restrictions, there will be a graveside service announced in the summer of 2021. In lieu of tributes, donations in memory of Allan may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society – 630 45 Street West #2, Saskatoon, SK S7L 5W, or www.cancer.ca
