Robert Bob LeGroulx Sunday November 15th 2020

LEGROULX, Robert “Bob” –
Robert (Bob) Joseph Edward Le Groulx passed away peacefully with family by his side in Collingwood Ontario on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at the age of 74. Born May 9, 1946 in Peterborough Ontario, Bob is survived by his daughter Jan Fontana, her husband Frank and their children Emily and Nicholas, his daughter-in-law Nicole Le Groulx and her children Jacob and Niah, and his sister Linda LeGroulx and her children Matthew and Lesley. Bob was pre-deceased by his wife Diane Melanson Le Groulx (1996) and his son David Le Groulx (2017), his parents Elzear and Barbara, his brother Bill and his sister Donna. Bob spent a long and rewarding career as a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), serving in both Saskatchewan and Ontario in a variety of increasingly challenging law enforcement roles. After leaving the RCMP, Bob spent several years with the Canadian Food and Inspection Agency (CFIA) as a fraud investigator. His retirement years were spent travelling, enjoying family time at the cottage and his home in Florida. Bob’s outgoing manner, sense of humour and infectious laugh charmed people wherever he went. He will be deeply missed by everyone who loved him.
A private graveside service for the family will be held in Whitby. Arrangements entrusted to W.C. Town Funeral Chapel. For those wishing to make donations in Bob’s memory, charities he strongly supported include: the ALS Society of Canada and the Canadian Cancer Society.

  1. I knew Bob when we both worked in Toronto CCS. A great guy, always a laugh. May you find comfort in remembering the good times. Sincere condolences to family and friends.
