Our family is sad to announce that Shari Lynn Medford (Stanton) passed away Monday, November 9, 2020 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital at the age of 58 years. Shari was born in Calgary, March 15, 1962, to Richard and Violet Stanton. She was the youngest sister to Donna (Brian), Kevin (Janet) and Murray (Ivy) and Auntie to seven nieces and nephews. Shari was married to Jim Medford in 1991 and cherished her stepdaughters Vanessa and Erika. Shari was predeceased by her Mom (2019), her Dad (2005).
Shari was currently living in Bethany College Side, Red Deer. Our many thanks to the staff on A1 and A2 for their excellent and personal care. Through the years Shari had many caregivers that helped her with life and her needs. We, her family, appreciate so much the dedication, extra time and care each of them took with Shari. One doctor told Shari she had an amazing ‘life spirit’. One of Shari’s greatest wishes was that her body be ‘given to science’ to help in Multiple Sclerosis research. In that regard, a burial will not be held at this time but arrangements will be made for her future interment. Life has been ‘a tough row to hoe’ as Shari’s dad used to say but now she rests in peace. We’ll miss you Shari.
