Passed away at the Johnson Memorial Hospital, Gimli, MB on Sunday November 8, 2020 at the age of 90 years, Margaret Kristfridur Lukiw (nee Johnson), of Gimli, MB.
Margaret was predeceased by her husband Jack Lukiw (2002), son Larry Lukiw (2017), mother & father Anna & Torfy Johnson, sister Gwen (Jack) Phelps & by brother Laurence Sveinsson.
She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter Linda Orestes of Gimli, MB, son Allan (Sharon) Lukiw of Airdrie, AB, daughter-in-law Lisa Lukiw of Pitt Meadows, BC, grandchildren Laura (John), Lindsey, Lee, Michael, Joshua, several great grandchildren as well as extended relatives.
Margaret was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother and aunt who devoted herself to her family. She enjoyed baking and cooking, loved country music & liked to play bingo. Many afghans and slippers were crocheted and given to family & friends. Her warm heart and tight, loving embrace will be greatly missed.
A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at a later at the Glenboro Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made in Margaret’s memory to a charity of choice.
Thank you to Dr. S.V. Patel for his care over the years and to the staff at the Gimli hospital for the past few months.
