Jean-Baptiste Richard
1931-2020
SAINT-LOUIS-DE-KENT, NB – It is with great sadness
that the family announces the passing of Jean-Baptiste Richard at the
age of 89, of Foyer Bois Joli in Saint-Louis-de-Kent on Friday,
November 6, 2020. Born in Pont-du-Milieu, he was the son of
the late Prosper Richard and late Domitilde (Bordage) Richard and the
husband of the late Maria (Thébeau). Before
retiring, Jean-Baptiste was employed as a school bus driver and he was
also a farmer.
Jean-Baptiste will be sadly missed by his three children,
Réjean Richard of Shediac Cape; Paulette Allison (Roland)
of Dieppe, Lucille Robichaud (Jean-Pierre) of Saint-Louis; six
grandchildren, Michelle (Adam Upward), Chantal (Jean-Luc Caissie),
Marilyne (Adam Carruthers), Gabrielle (Samuel Vautour), Rachelle,
Catherine (Brandon Feeney) and three great grandchildren,
Malec & Élodie Caissie and Maverick
Carruthers.
He is also survived by four sisters, Lina Vautour (late
Armand), Clara Chevarie (late Camille), Bertha Aucoin (Jean-Paul),
Rosa Daigle (Dolor); two brothers, Émile Richard (late
Elva), Émerie Richard (Annette); sisters-in-law, Florida
Richard, Rita Richard; brother-in-law, Roger Daigle and many nieces
and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Maria
(Thébeau) Richard; one sister, Yvonne and four brothers,
Armand, Edmond, Fernand and
Aurèle.
Visitation will be held at Thompson Memorial Home in
Saint-Louis-de-Kent on Saturday from 9:00 am until departure for the
funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday,
November 14, 2020 at 11:00 am, Saint-Louis des Français
Roman Catholic Church in Saint-Louis-de-Kent.
Donations in Jean-Baptiste’s memory may be made to
the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Tree of Hope and would be
appreciated by the family. The family wish to express a
sincere thank you to the staff at Foyer Bois Joli for all their kind
and compassionate care of
Jean-Baptiste.
