Wilfred’s Obituary
It is with great sadness the family of the late Wilfred Caines announce his passing at the Bonne Bay Health Centre, Norris Point on Sunday November 8th. , 2020, in his 78th. year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories is his wife Laura of 56 years. Sons; Sidney (Gillian), Stephan (Vicki) & Nicholas (Jody).Daughter Elaine Mortimer (Steve). Son-in-law Dan House (Barbara). Grandsons; Steven, Zachery, William, Aiden, Thomas & Chris. Granddaughters; Cailee, Emily, Izzy, Jinene (Desmond), Ashley (Dwayne), April(Buckley) and Tia (Justin). 9 great grandchildren. Mother Jessie, sister Blanche Payne, brothers-in-law; Felix Goosney and Charles Thornhill. Sister-in-law Almeda Thornhill. Special friend Leonard Payne and 3 furry friends.
Wilfred was predeceased by his father Thomas, brother James and his daughter Barbara House.
The family wish to thank the doctors and nurses at the Bonne Bay Health Center and Western Memorial Regional Hospital in corner Brook. A special thank you to the public health nurses that did weekly visits to our home. Also a special thanks to the Canadian Rangers who helped him enjoy his 22 years with them.
In keeping with Wilfred’s wishes cremation will take place. Visitation will take place at St. Peters Anglican Church in Parsons Pond on Wednesday November 11th. 2020 from 7-9 pm. also where the funeral service will be held on Thursday November 12th. 2020 at 2 pm. with Rev. Terry Rose officiating. Inurnment will follow at the family plot in the Anglican Church cemetary in Parsons Pond.
