Obituary for
John Evans
Surrounded by family and in the arms of his Loving wife Donna, John, at age 65 entered into the presence of his Lord and Saviour on Friday, November 6, 2020. Loving father to Brent (Tammy), Michelle Davis (Rob), Blair, Grant and Leah. Adored Grampy to his beautiful and precious grandchildren Eden, Ella and Wyatt; Grandpa to Max, Tucker, Molly and Sloan. Survived by his brother Ron (Denice), sisters Lorna (Sheila) and Val (Craig). Missing their Daddy are fur babies Maggie and Daisy. John battled a rare disease called Corticobasal Degenerative Disease for over 5 years with his motto of living one day at a time, enjoying every moment and knowing God was in control. He loved sharing the fact that he was a huge Montreal Canadiens fan especially to the ones who were Toronto Maple Leaf fans. Special thanks to the staff at BGH Palliative Care Unit for your kindness and compassion shown to John. Due to COVID-19, a Celebration of John’s life will be held when it is safe to do so. Cremation has taken place. Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society (John’s mom battled this disease) or in John’s memory, do an act of kindness to someone in need. Online condolences can be made on the Toll Funeral Home website (tollfh.ca). John’s favourite verse was Isaiah 40:31 “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as Eagles…”
