It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Marion (Myra) Lambert in Calmar, Alberta, at the age of 89 years.
Myra will be lovingly remembered by sons Stephen (Angie nee Schwemmer), David and Graham (Mary nee Thompson), and daughter, Paula. Grandchildren, Ryan Brooks, Meagan Barnett (Layne), Tabitha Ritter (Ryan), Spencer Lambert (Kathryn nee Soper), Samaria Rowden (Tyler), Kate Erickson, Afton Erickson, and David Lambert. Her great grandchildren brought her so much joy in her last years – Blake, Ty and Amelia Barnett, Maddie, Oli, Jensen and Masen Ritter, Nora Lambert & Nathan and Adelynn Rowden. She will also be remembered by her big brother, Alfred Sealey of 93 years, who still lives in Wales. He will miss playing piano for her to listen to across the miles.
Myra was predeceased by her husband, Leon Lambert, daughter Anne Erickson, parents John and Margaret (nee Duncan) Sealey and sister-in-law Grace Downie (nee Lambert). We can imagine the happy reunion that is taking place.
Myra was born in Scotland and immigrated to Canada in the 1950’s with her sweetheart, Leon. They married in Toronto on September 11, 1954. They joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1962. Myra worked in her early years as an electrolysis technician and she was also a hairstylist. She raised five children in Toronto, ON, Montreal, QC, and Oxtongue Lake, ON. She and Leon enjoyed their retirement years in Florida and Alliston, Ontario, before moving to Alberta in their last years of life.
There will be no funeral service held at Myra’s request.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
