Obituary
It is with profound sadness that the family of Leigh Ann (Reicker) Forbes announce her passing at home on Saturday October 31, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in June of 1965 to the late Douglas and Patricia (England) Reicker. Leigh found a home amongst her coworkers at Sobeys and had an established 38-year career with them, most recently in the Human Resources Department. She enjoyed travelling, her “fur” babies and summers spent at Harding’s Point Campground.
She will be deeply missed by her loving and devoted husband of nearly 29 years, Daniel “Dan” Forbes; her sisters Cynthia Reicker, Kim Reicker and Lindsay (Matthew) Berrigan; her nephew and nieces whom she was so fond of, Brodie, Chelsea and Rowan Berrigan and a large family of in-laws on Dan’s side of the family.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. where visitation will be held on Thursday November 5, 2020 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated from the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception on Friday November 6, 2020 at 10 am. Masks and social distancing will be mandatory for both the visitation and service. To maximize the number of attendees for the service, friends and coworkers are asked to please notify the funeral home via email, phone, or at the visitation, if you plan on attending Leigh’s service. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the IWK Health Centre, the SJRH Oncology Department or the charity of one’s choice.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Leigh Ann Forbes June 9 1965 October 31 2020 (age 55)..
