Obituary
Wade, Margaret “Peggy” Olive
June 30, 1932 – October 26, 2020
With heavy hearts the family announces the peaceful passing of our cherished mother, grandma, and great grandma in the Palliative Care Unit at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina on October 26. She is lovingly remembered by her three children: Stephen Wade (Elizabeth Wilks), Dianne Carr (Jim) and Joanne Wade; eight grandchildren: Matthew, Joshua, Monica (Lee), Jamie (Jocelyn), Laura (Cody), Anthony (Carla), Richard (Riley) and Molly; and ten great grandchildren: Hayden, Natalie, Theo, Tori, Emily, Amaya, Matteo, Ciara, Makai and Kish.
She will be remembered for living her life on her own terms and being a model of integrity and compassion. She instilled in all of us a deep awareness of our social responsibilities. Throughout her life she was involved in many groups focused on the need to help the less fortunate and those organizations that supported social justice. She loved her family, the prairie sky, restaurants, a good glass of red wine, her daily newspaper, CBC Radio, and Sunday tea parties with her grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the many caregivers who treated her with kindness and helped her navigate through her final years with Alzheimer’s disease, especially those who cared for her at Extendicare Parkside North Wing.
A private family gathering celebrating her life will be held in the Spring / Summer 2021. Donations in her memory may be made to the Regina Food Bank.
