Brian’s Obituary
The Family of Brian Trevor Dech regret to announce his passing, after a courageously fought battle with cancer. Brian was born in England, to Harold and Edith Dech, he grew up in Grenfell, Saskatchewan. He then moved to Regina, Saskatchewan where he met Shirley, the love of his life and they were married in 1965. Brian was a boilermaker/welder by trade and retired in 1999. A proud member of Local 555 for 55 years. He enjoyed lake life and lived at Lake Diefenbaker until his passing. He enjoyed fishing, watching birds, and the lake from his home. He was an avid Boston Bruins fan. Brian was predeceased by his father, Harold Dech; his in-laws, John and Jean Ziegler; his brother-in-laws, Tony Ziegler and Jim Ziegler; and his grandson, Michael Mark. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Shirley Dech; his daughters, Marla (Jeff) Aldred and Krista (Kerry) Berger; his grandchildren, Shayna, Matt, and Josh; his great-granddaughter, Scarlet; his mother, Edith Dech; his brothers, Wayne (Colleen), Rob, and Trevor (Lanchi); and his sisters, Karen, and Wendy (John); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Palliative nurse, Cheryl Searle, Dr. Martin, Dr. Tharhuni, nurses at Regency Hospital in Central Butte. Thanks to neighbors and friends in Palliser Park for their support and kindness. A Private Family gathering will be held at a later date. In living memory of Brian, a memorial planting will be made by Jones – Parkview Funeral Services.
