Passed away peacefully at Heritage River Retirement Residence, Elora on Sunday, October 25th, 2020 in her 96th year. Predeceased by her husband Gerrit Munk in 1995. Edith is survived by her daughter Karen Townsend, grandsons Mike (Tina) and Luke (Amanda) and great grandson Holden. Edith was actively involved in the New To You store and had been presented with a 15 year volunteer service pin. She had also been a volunteer at the Victoria Park Senior Centre for several years. A sincere thank you to Dr. Julie Ray for her ongoing compassionate care. Special thanks also to Megan and the entire team at Heritage River as well as LIHN, Care Partners and Bayshore Palliative Care nurses. The care Edith and family members received during the past few weeks has been exceptional. How truly fortunate we are in our community to have these dedicated caring support services available to us. A sincere thanks to Mom’s three special friends, Brian, Josee and Eileen, for your recent visits with Mom. You were very special people to her in many ways and she valued your friendships more than you know. A private family Graveside Service will be held, with interment at Belsyde Cemetery in Fergus.
