Obituary
Lishchynsky, Edward
1928 – 2020
It is with profound sadness that the family of Edward Lishchynsky announces his death at the age of 92 years on Friday, October 23, 2020. He leaves to mourn and is survived by his loving wife and devoted companion of 65 years, Elizabeth, his sons Leonard (Shelly), Rev. Marvin, Terry (Debra), Raymond (Melanie), a son-in-law Ivan Hrynchyshyn (Judy), numerous cherished grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter Angeline Hrynchyshyn, parents, Philip and Maria Lishchynsky, his siblings Albina Hrytsak, Apolonia Ganchar, Stanley, Clara Zakreski, Phyllis Shutiak, Virginia Zook, Peter, Bruno and Frances Lucyshyn. Although we would love those who knew Edward to attend, due to the Covid pandemic, a Private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. In lieu of your desired attendance, please offer a prayer and a toast to Edward, who lived a blessed and bountiful life. Edward was blessed and thankful for all the people God placed in his life. We would like to extend our gratitude for Dad’s care in his final months to the staff of Samaritan Place. May you be richly blessed for your compassion. Interment will be held at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Cemetery in Alvena, SK. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the CNIB (1149 8th St. E., Saskatoon, SK S7H 0S3).
