L Marie Taylor Monday October 26th 2020

L Marie Taylor (Walker)
May 7, 1940 – October 26, 2020
Peacefully in Napanee surrounded by her loved ones.
Marie was the cherished wife of John Taylor (predeceased), loving daughter of Fern Walker (predeceased) and special sister to her two brothers Peter Walker and Gordon Walker (also predeceased). She is remembered fondly by her sister-in-law Beth Walker, her nephews and nieces.
Marie created a beautiful circle of friends who will miss her dearly. She died as she lived, strong and brave. Her life was truly worth living. Born in Ottawa, Ontario where she boldly established a career as a woman in fashion design and modeling. Her wedding to John in 1966 was even featured on television. Her accomplishments as a woman ahead of her time soon shifted to careers in both Law and Politics all while answering to the needs of others. She raised funds for the VON, was an advocate for patients with Macular Degeneration and spoke out about the needs of patients undergoing Kidney Dialysis. Marie’s Charter Challenge in 2003 was also an effort to make positive changes to the Canadian Pension Plan for unpaid caregivers.
Her short battle with cancer served as her last triumph of bravery. It is with thanks to Dr.Carl Lee and his staff, as well as her team of dedicated care providers: Christine Silver-Tuschen, Margaet Fox, and Sandy Rogers- all of you were Marie’s angels constantly by her side.
Rest in peace dear Marie.
