Myrtle Love Freake
1933-2020
It is with great sadness that we announce the
passing of Myrtle Love Freake. Myrtle Love passed away peacefully on
October 23, 2020 at the Living Kingsway Home in Lewisporte. She was 86
years old.
Myrtle Love, survived by her brother, Heber
(Ruth); forever remembered by her sister-in-law’s, Beatrice
(Kevin) and Nettie; never forgotten by her “children”,
Myrtle, Judy, Rodney and Joanne; forever memorialized by her
‘grand’ niece and nephews, Danielle, Travis and
Ryan and forever loved by her niece, Celeste and nephews James,
Frederick and Jason. Myrtle Love will also be remembered by large
number of friends and extended family.
She was predeceased by her loving husband,
Horatio, her parents Alfred and Patience, as well as bothers; Peter,
James (Hazel Mary) Clarence; and Sister
Maude.
Myrtle Love will be remembered for her kindness,
generosity and her spirit. She welcomed all into her home, her life
and her story with a warm smile. She had a personality that was much
bigger than her tiny frame could hold. She was deeply devoted to her
faith, having been a member of the Anglican Church Women group for 67
years, and just as committed to the community as seen by her support
for other groups and her love for her
friends.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to
all the staff at the Living Kingsway Home for their care and
compassion.
In light of the current Covid-19 pandemic, the
health and safety of our families and our community continues to be
our highest priority. At this time, there will be a private service
with burial at the St. Georges Anglican Church Cemetery,
Boyd’s Cove.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be
made to the St. Georges Anglican Church Cemetery
Fund.
