Betty Anne Corea 1951 2020

Obituary of Betty Anne Corea
Betty, beloved wife of Tony, passed away in Calgary on Monday October 19, 2020 at the age of 69. She was born & raised in Kelowna BC, third of six children of Ben and Veronica Stolz. After high school she worked a few odd jobs until she found her passion as a singer in a band.
Betty and Tony met in 1973, within 6 months they were married and moved to Calgary to start their family. After raising their two boys; Chris and Tom, she went to work at Sproule International for 20 years before retiring. After retirement she began volunteering and also joined the church choir to start singing again.
Despite many health issues she always kept a positive attitude, loved life and cherished her family. It was hard to get her away from the cabin in Sorrento, BC where she felt most at peace. She enjoyed boating, reading, doing crosswords, sitting around the fire and just enjoying her days with family & friends. Betty was a special friend to everyone that had the privilege to know her.
Besides her loving husband Tony, Betty will be dearly missed by her sons Chris (Kim) and Tom; grandchildren Marina, Gio, Tamia and Naomi; sisters Carol (Guy) and Bev; brothers Jack (JoAnne) and Rick; brother-in-law Nick (Rosa), and sister-in-law Rose. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Betty Anne was predeceased by parents Ronnie and Ben, her brother Clarence and brother- in-law Pat.
A Celebration of Life will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 – 4th Street NW (within the valley of Queens Park cemetery), on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at 3:00 p.m.
