Obituary
It is with profound sadness that the family of Roland Peter Putzenberger announce his passing on October 21st, 2020.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Sheila and their son Dylan (Tracey) Putzenberger. Roland was a proud Papa to three grandchildren Taylor (Steve), Croy and Kyler, as well as a great grandfather to Grayson.
He will not be forgotten by his brother, Frank (Dorothy) Putzenberger, sister Jutta (Scott) Pearson, loving in-laws, nieces and nephews and a multitude of longtime friends.
Roland was predeceased by his mother Paula and father Martin Putzenberger.
Roland was born in Nuremberg, Germany, on February 9th, 1949. He emigrated with his parents to Canada at the age of six.They settled in Stratford, ON where he later met Sheila in the 60’s. They married in 1969 and soon after welcomed their son Dylan. The family moved to Edson, AB in 1977 and Roland began his career in the mining industry. He remained there until retirement.
If you knew Roland, you knew a good laugh. A life so joyfully lived deserves to be remembered.
Please join us on October 30th, 2020 at 3:00 PM in the Heatherwood Room at the Best Western in Edson for a celebration of his life.
