It is with deep sadness we announce the
passing of Raymond K. Estabrooks, age 70,
of Heather Beach. Raymond passed away at the North
Cumberland Hospital on Wednesday, October 21, 2020.
Born in Amherst, NS, he was a son of the
late Raymond and Erma (Delahunt) Estabrooks.
Raymond started his working career at
Canadian Assemblies in Amherst, than 13 years for Enamel and Heating
Steel Mill, finishing with 30 plus years at Sifto Canada. He
loved life to the fullest. He enjoyed his home at Heather
Beach during all seasons. Raymond will be greatly missed by
his many friends and family.
He will be dearly missed by his brother
Rick (Helen), Brookdale, NS; nephew Chad Lowther, Amherst; great niece
Emma-Lee Lowther; aunt Sue (Jerry) MacDonald, New Lowell, ON; as well
as his faithful cat Ralph.
He was predeceased by an Infant
brother.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the
Jones Family Funeral Centre, 70 Church
St, Amherst, NS (902-667-8777) where cremation has taken
place. In keeping with Raymond’s wishes, there will be no
visitation or funeral service. A family burial will take
place at the Maccan Cemetery.
Raymonds family want to extend a
heartfelt thank you to Amy of the Amherst Palliative Care, the
Cumberland VON, Martha of the Pugwash Palliative Care, as well as the
many nurses and support staff at the North Cumberland Hospital,
Pugwash.
Donations may be made to the L A Animal
Shelter or the charity of your choice.
