BEERSVILLE, NB – It is with great sadness that the
family announces the peaceful passing of Sylvia Thompson, 73, of
Beersville on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at the Stella Maris Hospital
in Ste-Anne-de-Kent. Born in Beersville, she was the
daughter of the late Edward Flanagan and late Kathleen Agnes (Donaher)
Flanagan. Sylvia was a member of the Richibucto River
Historical Society.
Sylvia will be sadly missed by her daughter, Valerie Thompson
(Rodney) of Bass River; two sons, Ernie Edward Roberts (Kim) of
Beersville, Lesley Wade Roberts (Colleen) of Bass River; eight
grandchildren, Natasha, Robbie, Theresa, Trevor, Ricky, Shawn, Alayna,
Scott and seven great grandchildren, Samara, Hope, Autumn, Star,
Sterling, Harding, Declyn and her two cats, Muffin and
Dusty.
She is also survived by two brothers, Donald Gordon Flanagan
(Kim) of Chipman, Howard Isaac Flanagan (Emelda) of Beersville;
sister-in-law, Edna Flanagan of Coal Branch and many nieces and
nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first
husband, Richard Roberts, her second husband, Larry William Thompson;
one son, Howard Ricky Roberts and one brother, Lloyd
Flanagan.
The visitation at Thompson’s Funeral Home and funeral service
celebrating Sylvia’s life will be announced and held at St.
Paul’s Anglican Church in Browns Yard once the restrictions
associated to COVID-19 are lifted or
modified.
Arrangements are in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home
in Richibucto (523-4252).
