Mary Ann Leganchuk
Mary Ann Leganchuk passed away suddenly on October 9, 2020 at the age of 63 at The Health Science Center in Winnipeg, MB. She was predeceased by her father, Harry, who had passed away on March 4, 1979; her mother, Frances, who had passed away on November 28, 2015. She leaves to mourn her common law partner Rod Delaney and her brother, Jack Leganchuk and his wife Joyce and their two children Krista and Bradley.
Mary Ann was born on September 22, 1957 at Shoal Lake. She grew up on a farm in the Oakburn area and attended school there. Mary Ann moved to Winnipeg in 1983 and that is when she met Rod. They lived together in Winnipeg and eventually moved to Selkirk where they bought a house together.
Mary Ann was a hard working woman who worked as a custodian at a school in Selkirk. She loved the outdoors and had a small garden. She was very proud of her flowers. She adored looking after her pet dog, Tiny. Mary Ann enjoyed traveling to Ontario with Rod and sightseeing. She suffered from rheumatoid arthritis but was very determined to stay active and worked right up until her passing.
She will be dearly missed.
Cremation has taken place and due to the current pandemic, no formal service will be held at this time.
